DEXTER "PREMO" SANDERS

Premo is a lifelong St. Albans resident and former heavyweight boxer for 14 years who transtioned into a chef. During the holidays, "I was assistant chef to mom."

Once he hung up his gloves, he became a tour manager/chef for R&B groups, including hip hop legends Kid 'N Play.

After graduating from the New York Restaurant School, he worked his way up to sous chef at Madison Square Garden's private steakhouse for players' families. He went on to become a private chef for ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, "Shark Tank's" Daymond John, and other celebrities.

Premo operates his personal chef/catering business out of his church's basement.

"THE ROCK"

"THE ROCK"

"The Rock" is a monumental piece that pretty much everybody in St. Albans knows about.

Who really made it famous to me growing up was LL Cool J. He actually stood right on this rock and took a picture on his album cover.

He actually made a song called "Rock The Bells." He talks about how special this rock is and where he comes from.

It's so famous, most of the time, when people ask where you come from, you don't have to tell them the street name.

You just say "The Rock."

And most people in Queens understand where The Rock is at.

There is only one "Rock" in St. Albans, Queens, which is on Farmers Boulevard and 109.

GROWING UP WITH THE ROCK AND ITS PERSONAL MEANING

THIS ROCK IS NOT GOING NOWHERE.
I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE.
I'M PART OF THIS ROCK.
